BR1 Foundation Installation

On January 21st 2014, Pacific Orca installed the first monopile on the Borkum Riffgrund 1 Wind Farm for DONG Energy. 

The weather conditions were perfect considering the winter time a year and the installation went well and as expected.

This farm is located approx. 37 km from the north-west cost of Germany. Once constructed, it will have a capacity of up to 277MW and will be able to supply CO2-free power equivalent to nearly 285,000 German households´ annual power consumption
