School: DTU (Technical University of Denmark)

Degree: Master of Science (MSc) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Offshore Engineering

Internship: Can joined our company as a student assistant in January 2018, he performed analyses for active projects and engineering studies for project tenders. His master’s thesis, titled Numerical Modelling of Spudcan Penetration for Offshore Installations, tied into his role.

“During my internship, I had the opportunity to take part in offshore operations aboard one of Cadeler's Windfarm Installation Vessels, where giant wind turbine components were installed in harsh environmental conditions. I am lucky I have been part of such impressive and complicated engineering processes.”

Permanent position: In October 2018, Can was appointed Assistant Project Engineer, then Project Engineer in January 2020. Some examples of his recurring tasks include preparing site-specific assessments, risk assessments, steel structure calculations for sea fastening, ensuring overall vessel stability during operations, leg penetration and extraction assessments, lifting drawings, adverse weather window assessments, preparing site plans, project engineering management and planning.
