Rasmus Panton

As a part of my master’s degree in Civil Engineering, specializing in calculation of Steel structures, I took the opportunity to study abroad in both Asia and the US. Upon completion of my studies, I landed a position on the MITAS graduate program in Maersk Drilling.

This led to a position in Maersk Drilling’s head office where I gained experience with both maintenance, modification, and operation of mainly jack-up drilling rigs. After 5 years I changed to Cadeler as a Project engineer.

Questions?

When I’m at work I use my skills to …?

Make sure that the project specific technical requirements can be met by our vessels. The continuously increasing turbine sizes keep pushing the technical requirements for our vessels, meaning that we as engineers, with support from our close partners within the industry, need to be creative in seeking the ideal alternative amongst the potential solutions to ensure that we are getting the most out the vessel capabilities.

I take a step forward when I …

Thrive to work in a high paced work environment, while being aware of when to stop up and spend the time required to complete a thorough detailed oriented tasks, that must be living up to the required standards to maintain the needed level of safety on our vessels. My role is not a stand-alone position, but a team effort where competencies within the department jointly makes us capable of supporting the rest of the company and our clients to make sure that the project becomes a success.

In the future my main focus will be …?

To stay on track and ensure that Cadeler keeps delivering on the projects from an engineering point of view. Cadeler intends to grow with the industry, and it is my hope that this growth will create opportunities within the department or company, that I can keep growing from as well on a personal level.

When I’m off work, I like to …?

Spend time with my two kids, who manage to keep me busy most of my sparetime. In addition, meeting with family and friends is one of my favourite activities and gives me a lot of energy. I occasionally go for a run and once a week I am playing paddle tennis with the neighbours.
