Press release
Swire Blue Ocean (SBO) has activated our business continuity plans and will close the office in Copenhagen from 13 until 29 March 2020. All employees will be working from home during this period. Business operations will continue and telephone lines will be answered remotely. All face-to-face meetings with external parties including clients, business associates and suppliers will be replaced with teleconferences to minimise person-to-person contact.
SBO is also closely monitoring the operations of our vessels in view of the COVID-19 outbreak. Heightened HSEQ protocols have been implemented on board; all non-critical works are being delayed and visits from personnel who are not critical to vessel operations will be restricted.
These preventive measures have been implemented to show solidarity and support to the Danish government and their ongoing efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19. Through the enforcement of these strict precautionary measures, SBO hopes to do our part as a corporate citizen to minimise the risk of our employees’ exposure to COVID-19 at the workplace.
SBO hopes to resume usual work operations in the office from 30 March onwards, but we will continue to monitor the situation closely and listen to the Danish government’s advice. For queries, please call at +45 3246 3100.
